DIKKO RADDA : THE EPITOME OF GOOD GOVERNANCE

How does one begin to write the score card for this governor of governor's? Where does one begin from? Is it from inception to date? Or the last few weeks? I think it is difficult to begin from inception to date because the card may not be able to contain all the achievements!
A more realistic period is the past few weeks which was characterized by tangible and intangible achievements! Even at this time, one may only need to chronicle the events! This is because, analysing their impact on the lives of the people of the state may take pages upon pages and still leaves out many not mentioned.
The first issue was the the students sponsored for medical training as doctors in Annahada university Egypt. Interestingly, all the students were drawn from government public schools! None of the children of the elites who were in private schools were included in the qualifying examinations for the selection interview. And to the satisfaction of almost everyone in the state, the procedure was open and transparent!
More importantly, their tuition fees have been fully paid, and each one of them was placed on monthly allowances for the whole period of their study!
Dikko was not done yet! As we were savouring the goodies of the students foreign training, the big bang occurred! The Katsina township renewal in the form of second ring road and the reconstruction and expansion of many others inside the town at the whopping cost of over seventy four billion! This is one of its kind!
A gargantuan project just out of blues, almost made people shout at the top of their voice in wonder of pleasant surprise! Just like the students issue, this project needs no further analysis of its significance to the people of the state!
Still within these past few weeks, the has been dealing with the issue of bandits with some remarkable success though a lot needs to be done. As a measure of the governments resolution, kidnappers are being pursued to their domains and victims are being liberated. As a demonstration of this success, Malam Dikko umar . received the liberated kidnapped victims of Tashar Nagulle last week.
They were were liberated from the kidnappers by the men of Nigerian army in collaboration with other forces working in the state. At the ceremony, the governor restated the govts commitment towards total eradication of all forms of criminality in the state.
Kudos to the people's Governor, what Katsina state people should shielded you with is more Prayers. May Allah be with you always and everywhere. Ameen.
